Testo e traduzione

"Hope" is the thing with feathers

"La speranza" è quella cosa con le piume

That perches in the soul,

Che si posa nell'anima,

And sings the tune without the words,

E canta la melodia senza parole,

And never stops at all,

E non si ferma mai,

And sweetest in the Gale is heard;

E più dolce si sente nella tempesta;

And sore must be the storm

E deve essere molto forte la tempesta

That could abash the little bird

Che potrebbe imbarazzare il piccolo uccellino.

That kept so many warm.

Che ha dato calore a tanti.

I've heard it in the chillest land,

L'ho sentita nella terra più fredda,

And on the strangest sea;

E sul mare più strano;

Yet, never, in extremity,

Eppure, mai, nel bisogno estremo,

It asked a crumb of me.

Mi chiese neanche una briciola.
