1. Ich nehme ein Brötchen, es duftet frisch und fein.

   I take a roll, it smells fresh and nice.

2. Die Kruste ist schön knusprig, so soll mein Brötchen sein.

   The crust is nicely crispy, that's how my roll should be.

3. Ich schneid' es vorsichtig auf, und lege Käse drauf.

   I carefully cut it open and put cheese on it.

4. Emmentaler schmeckt sehr gut, Butterkäse passt auch.

   Emmental tastes very good, Butterkäse fits well too.

5. Hey, hey, Brötchen! Frisch, frisch, fein!

   Hey, hey, roll! Fresh, fresh, nice!

6. Käse, Tomate, so muss es sein!

   Cheese, tomato, that's how it has to be!

7. Hey, hey, Brötchen! Knack, knack, zack!

   Hey, hey, roll! Crunch, crunch, pop!

8. Salatblatt drauf, bringt viel Geschmack!

   Lettuce leaf on top brings lots of flavour!

9. Ich wasche eine Tomate, sie ist reif und rot.

   I wash a tomato, it is ripe and red.

10. Ich schneid' sie in Scheiben, für Käse und Brot.

    I cut it into slices for cheese and bread.

11. Dann kommt der grüne Salat, er knackt und bringt Geschmack.

    Then comes the green lettuce, it crunches and brings flavour.

12. Mayo kommt nur ab und zu, nicht jeden Tag, nicht jeden Tag.

    Mayo comes only now and then, not every day, not every day.
