   A shoemaker and his wife were very poor.

2. Mamy tylko skórę na jedną parę butów.

   We only have leather for one pair of shoes.

3. Szewc tnie skórę i zostawia ją na stole.

   The shoemaker cuts the leather and leaves it on the table.

4. Następnego ranka buty są gotowe.

   The next morning, the shoes are finished.

5. Jakie piękne buty! Kto je zrobił?

   What beautiful shoes! Who made them?

6. Klient kupuje buty i dobrze płaci.

   A customer buys the shoes and pays very well.

7. Teraz mamy pieniądze na więcej skóry.

   Now we have money for more leather.

8. Każdej nocy zostawia skórę na stole.

   Every night, he leaves leather on the table.

9. Każdego ranka znajduje gotowe buty.

   Every morning, he finds finished shoes.

10. Ukryję się tej nocy, żeby zobaczyć, kto nam pomaga.

    I will hide tonight to see who is helping us.

11. Tej nocy widzą dwa małe elfy pracujące szybko.

    That night, they see two little elves working quickly.

12. Są tak małe i nie mają ubrań!

    They are so small and they have no clothes!

13. Musimy im podziękować.

    We have to thank them.

14. Żona szewca szyje nowe ubrania dla elfów.

    The shoemaker's wife sews new clothes for the elves.

15. Tej nocy zostawiają ubrania na stole.

    That night, they leave the clothes on the table.

16. Elfy znajdują ubrania i są szczęśliwe.

    The elves find the clothes and are happy.

17. Tańczą i śpiewają, i nigdy więcej nie wracają.

    They dance and sing, and never return again.

18. Dzięki elfom szewc nigdy więcej nie był biedny.

    Thanks to the elves, the shoemaker was never poor again.
