1. Trois œufs, de la farine, du lait,

   Three eggs, some flour, milk,

2. Une pincée de sel, et c'est prêt !

   A pinch of salt, and it’s ready!

3. Du beurre fondu, je mélange, je chante,

   Melted butter, I mix, I sing,

4. La pâte repose, et moi, je suis impatiente !

   The batter rests, and I am impatient!

5. La poêle est bien chaude, bien beurrée,

   The pan is nice and hot, well buttered,

6. Je verse, je tourne, je retourne : ratée !

   I pour, I stir, I flip: failed!

7. Je plie la deuxième : sucre et citron !

   I fold the second one: sugar and lemon!

8. Il n'en reste plus rien, mais c'était trop bon !

   There’s none left, but it was so good!
