1. Der Sommer ist da und ich bleibe jetzt hier,

   Summer is here and I'm staying right here now,

2. Ich steh im Garten und trinke ein Bier.

   I stand in the garden and drink a beer.

3. Ich warte am Grill und trage meinen Hut,

   I wait at the grill and wear my hat,

4. Das Essen vom Grill, das schmeckt immer gut.

   The food from the grill always tastes good.

5. Ich möchte gern grillen, am liebsten jeden Tag,

   I like to grill, preferably every day,

6. Ich schaue ins Feuer, weil ich das so mag.

   I look into the fire because I like it so much.

7. Und auch im Dezember bei Schnee und Eis,

   And even in December with snow and ice,

8. Dann träum ich vom Grillen, so richtig schön heiß.

   Then I dream of grilling, really nice and hot.
