1. Un día, la liebre se burla de la tortuga por ser lenta.

   One day, the hare makes fun of the tortoise for being slow.

2. Eres demasiado lenta. Nunca podrías ganarme en una carrera.

   You are too slow. You could never beat me in a race.

3. Tal vez sea lenta, pero puedo intentarlo.

   I may be slow, but I can try.

4. La tortuga y la liebre deciden hacer una carrera.

   The tortoise and the hare decide to have a race.

5. ¡A la cuenta de tres! ¡Uno, dos, tres!

   On the count of three! One, two, three!

6. La liebre corre muy rápido y deja atrás a la tortuga.

   The hare runs very fast and leaves the tortoise behind.

7. Voy ganando. Tengo tiempo para descansar.

   I’m winning. I have time to rest.

8. La liebre se duerme bajo un árbol.

   The hare falls asleep under a tree.

    Finally, the tortoise reaches the finish line.

    I won the race!

12. La liebre se despierta y ve que ha perdido.

    The hare wakes up and sees that he has lost.

13. ¿Cómo es posible? ¡Eres tan lenta!

    How is this possible? You are so slow!
